Orchards Pharmacy is not only a specialized compounding pharmacy, but also a community pharmaceutical dedicated to meeting all of our patients’ pharmacy needs. Prescribing
Orchards Pharmacy takes pride in having a prescribing pharmacist on hand at all times. Our pharmacists all have Additional Prescribing Authority, which means they can write new prescriptions for our patients. The goal is to be able to help our patients with minor problems if they are unable to see their family doctor.
We analyze the patient thoroughly and select the best line of action to ensure that they receive the finest possible care. This service is provided at no extra cost to the patient.
Free Prescription Delivery
Lack of mobility or transportation should not be a barrier to patients receiving their meds, according to our team. Our staff will frequently personally deliver drugs to our patients within close proximity, but if we are unable to do so, we work with trusted and reliable pharmacy couriers to guarantee that our patients receive their meds on time. This service is provided at no cost to you.
Medication Assessments
The pharmacist’s function is changing to become more clinical and less technical. We are totally embracing this change in our practice. We are pleased to provide medication evaluations and reviews to our patients.
When one of our pharmacists does a full examination of a patient’s medications and conditions with the patient, this is known as a medication assessment. Duplicate therapies, unpleasant responses or interactions, and therapeutic failures are all things that this service aims to eliminate. The patient is usually not charged for this treatment.
Compliance or Blister Packaging
Patients who take many drugs may find it challenging to keep track of their medications or remember to take them at the appropriate times. As a result, doses may be skipped, and illnesses may go undiagnosed or undertreated.
Blister packing, also known as compliance packaging, is a procedure in which our pharmacy staff pre-packages prescriptions for our patients on specific days and times. This aims to reduce the chance of misunderstanding and make it easier for our patients to take their meds correctly. We can provide this service on a weekly or monthly basis at no additional cost.
Injections
All of our pharmacists at Orchards Pharmacy have Injection Certification. This allows us to provide a number of vaccines such as the flu vaccine, shingles vaccine and a number of travel vaccines to our patients.
